This place suits me perfectly with free Wi-Fi, 24-hour reception, and a cozy bar area. The staff helped me with my bags on my first stay, which I remember fondly. I recommend the breakfast. it’s delicious! I'm coming back for Easter.

comfortable stay but a few improvements needed
I appreciated the welcoming staff who made me feel at home from the moment I checked in the complimentary bottles of water in the room were a nice touch that added to the comfort of my stay.
The bathroom amenities could use an upgrade as they felt basic.

the location is ideal if ur traveling on the m4, and breakfast was really excelllent! comfy room n good vibe from the staff who were quite helpful. i managed to grab the last croissant before they all disappeared, lol. the rooms are clean and the beds nice to sleep on.
but the restaurant closes too early at 9.30am, an hour earlier than many places. also, we had to wait a while for our drinks during dinner, which was kinda annoying.

Just a reliable pick for a short weekend trip in Reading with best value. Breakfast was plentiful, and some items were cooked to order. Make sure to ask for a room away from the stairs if you prefer quieter stays.

The carvery meal was surprisingly excellent.
The corridors and room decor were quite dated.

Had a fantastic time with my friends! We enjoyed walking along the Thames Path and visiting the beautiful gardens nearby. The staff were great, making our stay smooth and relaxing. The breakfast was a highlight, and the bar had a good selection.
One downside was that the room got quite hot during the night. Luckily, a fan was provided, which helped a lot.

great access to parks and memorable landmarks for city walks
I really appreciated how close I was to both Prospect Park and Courage Park during my stay, allowing me to enjoy lovely walks and great views just a short distance from my hotel. The staff were super friendly and very helpful throughout my visit. as a single traveler, I found the room to be cozy and just right for what I needed.

missingWrote a review on 11 Augoutdated decor
Despite the claims of refurbishment, it’s clear the corridors and some rooms need serious attention. The carpets carry an old smell, while the room decor is outdated, with furnishings that feel more tired than comfortable. The twin bed mattresses are narrow and not great for quality sleep, and the torn quilt cover certainly doesn’t help the aesthetic. In the bathroom, I found the ceiling uncomfortably low for someone my height, leading to awkward shower experiences, combined with visible cleanliness issues like poorly applied sealant and grout. Breakfast timing can also be restrictive, as it doesn’t start until 7 am on weekdays, which might not suit early risers.

The bar area is a vibe, perfect for winding down after a day of exploring. Plus, the breakfast spread had some standout smoothie options that really hit the spot! And shoutout to the comfortable beds, they were a real dream.
But, mate, the decor was a bit of a horror show. The corridors gave off serious 80s vibes, and don’t get me started on the hot buffet—warm at best! the bathroom situation was a bit cramped for anyone over 6 feet.

I had a lovely time relaxing in the cozy room while enjoying the variety of channels on the TV, which even included YouTube for my vlogs. The hotel had a nice garden area and great live music that added to the fun atmosphere. Just a heads up, the light switch was a bit tricky to find at night, but it didn’t ruin the experience. 😊
